Smart Bears, Angry Rats

As ye sow, so shall others reap   75 years from now
The hawk carried the infected snake back to his nest to feed the hatchlings.
One of the four hatchlings would be wounded in power lines.  Crows would pick at his carcass, acquiring the virus.
A second would catch a mouse, bite it, but drop it.  The mouse, one unlucky little fellow, would survive just long enough to be eaten by a fox, who would pass the virus onto her offspring.
The third didn't survive the virus.
The fourth passed the virus onto eleven offspring.
When we sow the seeds of our own destruction, some are likely to scatter to the wind.

g-NAts

The next challenge
Over the next two weeks all the g-NAts moved onto individual therapy or aftercare.  A year later I ran into Bob at an AA meeting.
"How's the car business?" I asked.
"It's good.  I have somebody running that end of things."
"That end of things?" I asked.
"The oil change places were doing so well, I bought a couple of carpet cleaning franchises.  I'm managing that part of my business.  It's a challenge."
I was happy for him, but I had to ask, "What happened to kicking back and letting someone else worry about business?  Wasn't that your plan?"
"The more clean time I got, the more I needed to be doing something."
"So, do you like the carpet cleaning business more than the oil change garages?"
"Not really.  But once they're up and running, I'm going to try something completely different!

Today I will look for the next challenge.
