Life on Life's Terms

What's eating you?
When I got to work the next day, Julie was arguing with Kate.  Kate seemed to be having a hard time understanding exactly what was upsetting Julie.  This was a side of Julie I had never seen before.  After a few minutes it became clear Julie didn't know either why she was so angry.  She started to cry, and Kate hugged her.

Today I will be grateful for people who are angry for a reason,

at least they can be reasoned with.

Smart Bears, Angry Rats

What time is it?  75 Years from now
During Gretchen and Olsen's wedding reception, Ubutu shook Olsen's hand, pulling him in for a hug.  He noticed a flesh tone ear piece no more than 3 millimeters thick, attached to the back of Olsen's outer ear.  He knew Olsen's microphone would be woven into the fabric of his tie.
Ubutu pretended to straighten Olsen's tie, whispering into it, "Mr. Flanagan." A tall, red-haired man walked over to them.  "I believe my instructions were quite clear," he said to Olsen.  "You were to turn over all security matters to Mr. Flanagan until you return from your honeymoon."  He peeled the ear piece from the back of Olsen's ear and handed it to Flanagan.
"Listen Boss, I'm just …" Olsen started to say.
Ubutu interrupted him, "My friend, you have no idea what time it is.  There is a time to work and a time to play.  You have done the work.  Now you should play."  Ubutu smiled and added, "While you honeymoon, I will monitor Mr. Flanagan's communications.  If you contact him in any way, I will demote you to guarding the break room at the brick factory."

Today I will find some time to play.
