57. Burning Bridges
On the way home I thought about the speaker calling herself an arsonist.  The day after she got sober, she quit working in a bar.  The bar owner knew she was done when she poured a pitcher of beer over his head.

She had said, “I went home and told my druggie first husband I knew he was cheating, and so was I.  One at a time, I burned all the bridges that had led me nowhere.”

Today I will be an arsonist, I will burn the bridges to nowhere.
