72. High Hurdles
“Oh, I’m supposed to tell you guys Margaret and Felix aren’t going to be here today,” Anne said. “Margaret got a post-surgical infection and had to go back to the hospital.  Felix is with her.”

“How’s Margaret holding up?” Howard asked.  “She was so optimistic after the surgery.  Didn’t need another setback.”

Anne said, “A little down, but she said the infection’s just one more hurdle.”

“Seems like she’s had to jump her share lately,” Howard said.

I said, “What looks like a setback may be just another hurdle, and you can’t get over a hurdle without moving forward.”

Today I will know I’m moving forward when the hurdles appear.
