Cuddles and I exchanged a look that said ‘I’m as angry as you are.’ Then he hunched his shoulders, turned his face to the window, and purred.

I got out the laser pointer and he chased the red dot.  When I put it away, he curled up in sun beam on the floor and went to sleep purring.

“If he was human I’d say he acknowledged he was angry, shrugged, smiled, and moved on,” I said to my laptop.  “Wise cat.”

 

Today I will shrug, smile, and move on.
